Rapid Response Home Visiting provides resources for home visiting professionals to address emerging issues and the collective needs of the field.
Originally developed to address social distancing measures and the increased isolation of families during the pandemic, the project has evolved to provide innovative and timely response to immediate and emerging needs of home visiting professionals while continuing to offer new resources to support effective virtual practice strategies.
Collaboratively led by National Alliance for Home Visiting Models, Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals, and Parents as Teachers National Center, Rapid Response Home Visiting brings together home visiting providers across the nation to identify needs, develop best practice principles and share resources.
Webinars
Our live and recorded webinars are accompanied with downloadable resource guides and slide decks for a total learning experience. Produced in partnership with Brazelton Touchpoints Center and other subject matter experts, our webinars assist professionals in gaining new skills and taking charge of their professional growth. Resources
The Rapid Response Home Visiting project ensures the most comprehensive and current resources are available to the home visiting field. Our site allows users to access recorded webinars, accompanying slide decks, and additional resources complimenting the areas of home visiting that have been presented.
Pathways
With these self-directed learning pathways for home visitors and supervisors, users can attain the knowledge and strategies to implement professional virtual home visiting, while maintaining expert-level home visiting services.
Content is co-created together with home visiting professionals and local, state and national model developers:
Using interactive video conferencing and telecommunication to deliver visits
Conducting other model activities virtually including coaching, information sharing, goal setting, resourcing supports for families
Conducting screenings – child development, depression, Intimate PartnerViolence (IPV)
Hosting virtual group connections
